Ms. Gomes graduated from Fones School of Dental Hygiene at the University of Bridgeport in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science Degree.
Danni has 23 years experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist, with a license to practice in both the state of New York and New Jersey. Ms. Gomes is also an American Heart Association Certified Basic Life Support Instructor. She completed post graduate training in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy with the Academy of Myofunctional Therapy and with the International Association of Orofacial Myology.
Danni is an adjunct faculty member at New York University College of Dentistry’s Dental Hygiene Department. She is an Instructor in the Continuing Education Department at New York City College of Technology’s Dental Assisting Program.
Ms Gomes is a member of the International Association of Orofacial Myology, and a founding member of the Academy of Applied Myofunctional Sciences. Danni is also a member of the American Academy of Dental Hygiene, the International Association of Healthcare Professionals, the American Dental Education Association, and the American Dental Hygienist’s Association in which she has served on the Continuing Education Peer Review Panel. She was on the Board of Director's for Unspoken Smiles Foundation from 2015-2017 and now serves on the marketing committee for the International Association of Orofacial Myology.
In 2013 she directed the Medical Emergencies course at Eastern International College.Volunteer outreach mission In 2012 she went to Ile A’ Vache, Haiti to assess the dental needs of the residents.

Toward Implementing Primary Care at Chairside: Developing a Clinical Decision Support System for Dental Hygienists
Introduction: The goal of this project was to use the Consolidated Frame- work for Implementation Research (CFIR) as the theoretical foundation for developing a web-based clinical decision support system (CDSS) for primary care screening and care coordination by dental hygienists at chair side.
